2. Bar Marsella – Oldest Bar in Barcelona

Bar Marsella is famous for being the oldest bar in Barcelona and for serving absinthe. Yes, absinthe! This family owned bar dates back to 1820 and was Picasso and Hemingway’s favorite bar! Since opening its doors to the public, Bar Marsella has only had minor upkeep renovations. The interior still looks very much 1820s except now covered in dust and cobwebs (Which they say are real!).  Their drink menu consists of creative absinthe cocktails! Bar Marsella offers a unique atmosphere you can’t miss out on!

Recommended cocktail: Try their absinthe mojito or if your a dare devil like me, order the house absinthe and dilute it with sugar and as much water as you please!
